Group to tackle men's mental health issues set up at Huyton CGL

A safe environment has been set up at Huyton CGL to help break the stigma around ill mental health in men. The ‘New Directions’ men’s group is a place where male service users can meet for a coffee, form friendships and discuss any problems which are having a negative impact on their mental wellbeing.

The Friends of the Lake District

Staff and Management from Recovery Works took time away from their day jobs recently to spend a day volunteering with The Friends of the Lake District conservation charity.  Staff spent a bright and breezy day up near New Biggin with a team of regular (and much more skilled!) volunteers getting involved in some conservation and heritage tasks.

Recovery Works

Recovery Works are delighted that we have recently been successful in gaining the North and Central Lancashire Substance Use Contract as part of our ongoing and increasing work alongside Change Grow Live. Having previously been part of the partnership in North Lancashire since 2013, Recovery Works are excited to be able to further increase the range of our support into a new area and to enable more clients to successfully move away from addiction towards a healthier, financially independent and more positive life.
